Smileys as Punctuation
This mouse keeps double clicking. It's really annoying. I remember when Jareds' mouse did that... I had to go out for a walk at 03:00! But to the subject the title claims to... I just noticed myself, in messanger, use ":)" at the end of a sentance in the same way as, and in absence of, end punctuation. I guess it works... "." signifys a statement of any kind, "!" signifys an exlamation., "?" signifys a question... Then you get into the strange punctuation I do... where you get things like "!?" Which signifys an exclaimed question... And ".?" Which signifys I'm not sure if it is a satement or a question. And apparently now, there is ":)" Which signifys that it is a friendly statement even tho it doesn't seem to be, or sometimes/often as a form of apology.
And then you have the other things like ":-P" Which will generally signify that you are teasing. And ":-D" which signifys a proud tone. and ">:-D" Which signifys mischief, often playful... And then there is "=/" Which can show regret or unsureness or unhapyness.
Anyway. Enough about that... Altho... it's good enough for a full post! Real Life stuff in another post. ( I think! )
