March 17, 2004I Broke ME?Uhh... yeah... I was on the main page, looking at the funny bouncy words thingy on the main page, and I was playing with it, and I made the window smaller, yaknow? and so it just went right. and it didn't bounce. I maximised, and it was just going farther and farther right, expanding the size of the window, and making it scrolly. heh. I took a screenshot. Enjoy. No, no, I broke ME. Silly. Yes, if, by force of your hand, the 'bouncy thing' is able to pass beyond the border that traps it, there is nothing else to stop it on its merry way. Also, theoretically comments should work again in all non-comics areas of ME now. Well, Except FYTH. Thats still wants pennies. But look here, a comment! Hooray! comments! But why not on comics? too lazy? And... why doesn't it correct itself? or find a new border? Theoretically, if your browser actually interpreted the code I wrote, the way I wrote it, you would have to have a screen more than 6k pixels wide, and shrink the browser window down from full-screen to less than a couple hundred pixels wide while the bouncy-thing was all the way to the right in order for it to break loose. According to a similar theory, if you'd just wait for it to get out to 5k or 6k pixels past the edge of the window, it would bounce back. Hah! Also, since I've noticed that all the SPAM comments seem to be on really old posts, I've begun "closing" comments on older posts. Every post that gets a SPAM comment that's more than a year old, I'll close comments on. And if THAT doesn't work, SPAM can suck it, because I'll just keep working on it. Oh, and because I was supposed to be downstairs doing heavy lifting, and just wanted to go through and get all the ... stuff that people actually comment on... working.
