November 29, 2003Adventure!Right, so, I have decided to refrain from adventure games as much(well, maybee not, but still...) Yeah, so now, I am doing real-life adventures, like hiking, and going places to hang out with people with no plans, and travelling places on my own, not by the easiest means, but by the most self-propelled means. But, yeah, so, today, I went to the nieghborhood pretty much all my freinds live in. That nieghborhood is about 2.5 miles from me, but thats just a guess, I have no clue. Its over by the school I go to. It takes an hour to walk from that neighborhood/school to home, and it takes a half hour to get from home to school on bike(just like 5 mins longer to get to any of my several freinds in that area.). So, I rode over there today, and when I got there, I called my freind Derick, and he was buisy, so I went to Jons house, and he wasn't home, but at work(his mom wasn't entirely sure of where he was, but...) And so, then, I rode over to Dairy Queen where he works(union hills and 7th street, like... half a hile from his house, walking distance). So when I got there, I realised there was nowhere in the entire plaza where he works that is built for locking bikes to, so I just locked it to the place where carts are held(on the sidewalk, its a thing that sicks out of the wall, and its safe.) So then, I went to his work, and I talked to him a little because he was just standing around... I thought both the girls working with him were hot, and one of them sits next to me in history class(not the one from before, this is a different one, seating charts have changed). Yeah, so then I got an Oreo Cookie Blizzard, and ate it in enjoyment, then I talked to Jon a while longer while he wasn't doing anything. I then decided to go check on my bike, real quick, so I went, did that, came back, and then sat, and I watched Jon walk out, I assumed he was cleaning tables out there or somthing, but I shortly followed, and discovered he got off early, and was going to bashas(also in the plaza). So, I got my stuff and went with him, we hung out a while, and then he had to go, so I went off on my bike back to the neighborhood to wander again. Yeah, so then, I went searching for Joe's house! And it didn't take long to find, especially considering that he was out in the street playing games with his neighbors! Yeah, so then I hung out there for a while, almost ended up joining him in gathering all our friends and going to Desert Ridge mall, but it got too late, so we didn't. So then, he had to go in, and then everyone did, and then I went away. And I went to burger king, had dinner.... which I noticed somthing odd... I was order number 13, and by the time I left, there had been order number 38, but... there had NOT been 25 people order in that time!! Yeah... but then I went home, and here I am! Two comments: First, the order numbers that were 'missing' were drive-thru. Second, this "adventuring" is what they mean when they say you are "looking for trouble". Also, "Moo." Posted by: Teel on November 30, 2003 12:44 AMYeah. When Teel and I have had adventures in the past, it was usualy because trouble had already found us. Moo too. Posted by: iain on November 30, 2003 07:43 AMYep, it was like "Well, here's trouble. I guess we'd better go find an adventure while we wait the trouble out." Those were good times. Moo tree.
