Anti-Media Violence Article
So, for school, I am reading this article about how media violence causes people to be violent. Well.......... ITS PISSING ME OFFF!!!!!!!!!!! OMFG!!!! What is this person thinking?!?! And he is not just defending HIS viewpoint, but he is ATTACKING the opposing argument!!! He said, "Defenders of bloodshed in film, television, and writing often argue that depictions of killing don't incite real violence becuause no one is really affected by what they see or read; it's all just water off a ducks back. At heart, this is an argument against free expression. The whole reason to have a First Amendment is that people are influenced by what they see and hear: words and images do change minds, so there must be free competition among them." Okay, sure, yeah, I guess that makes a little sence but... UGH!!! EXTREMIST!!!!!!!!!! Anyone that says anything about EVERYONE doesn't know what they are talking about. Now, if he has had several morons say that to him, and he believes that everyone that is pro-media violence thinks that, HE is wrong, but I don't know that he thinks that, but.... It felt like he was attacking everyone who supports the violence, and I don't like someone who has to attack people in order to win thier argument. And THEN, he takes that, the statement he probably misinterpreted, and he applies it to a larger scale than it should be. He took what was probably an innocent statement, and he made it seem like the person was against free speech, and commiting a sort of treason, being against our constitution, thats just stupid in my opinion.
And thats just my argument against the most irritating of his statements.

wow... so... ten precent of murders are because of media violence, and 99 precent of all murders are because of robberies, drug deals, and domestic desputes... so.... wait... what? He says the other one precent is the thirty or so serial killers, who are deranged.... and he also says that the media violence makes us deranged... so... huh.... numbers don't match up here...
